Hovet ("The Court"), formerly known as Johanneshovs Isstadion, was opened in 1955, completed in 1962 and rebuilt in 2002. It is an arena in Stockholm for mainly ice hockey, concerts and corporate events. It is the home arena for AIK, Djurgårdens IF and Hammarby IF. Skarpnäck AIK in the fourth level league, division 2, regularly play some home games in the arena as well. The official capacity is 8,300 spectators.
The arena was officially inaugurated on November 4, 1955 with an ice hockey game between Sweden and Norway which Sweden won 7-2. A roof was added for the 1962 World Championships. During the fall of 2002, every chair was replaced and a restaurant area was added at one short end.
Apart from AIK, Djurgårdens IF and Hammarby IF, Hovet has been the regular home arena in different periods for IK Göta, IFK Stockholm, Stureby SK, Mälarhöjden/Västertorp, Brinkens IF and AC Camelen. Karlbergs BK, Årsta Södra IF, Huddinge IK, Danderyd/Täby Hockey and Lidingö HC have played occasional home games in their official leagues at the arena, and at least IF Cobran and Reymersholms IK have played pre-season home games there.
