I'm not sure the page needs this many guys listed under the "Not to be forgotten" category... especially this many people who don't even have a Wikipedia page yet... you think we should shorten it to 5 or 10? ekedolphin 06:11, Feb 3, 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. This section shouldn't be the listing of "Who's Who of the Houston Rockets' Playoff Seasons" or highly decorated players that even played for the Rockets for a season or two (e.g., Scottie Pippen, Glen Rice). I say it gets cut down to people who've been on the team for longer than 4/5 years and/or put significant contribution to the team's play. There's no reason to put players on here who played on the bench and/or never grew up (e.g., Eddie Griffin, Matt Maloney, and Othella Harrington). I'll wittled it down some and added Mike Dunleavy. User 68.91.13.38 has changed Contributions Troy Bell from the Hornets to the Rockets. It looks wrong but I can't find the necessary information at the NBA, Rockets or Hornets site. I'd like to see some sort of opinion column from the time that supports the notion that the Barkley trade was made to beat the Sonics after repeated failed attempts(even though they'd just won back to back titles", as well as the "once again defeated by the Lakers in the first round", although it had been awhile since the Rockets, especially the new nucleus of players, had been defeaten by the Lakers in the playoffs.
[edit] Leslie Alexander and Las Vegas
In March 1997, according to the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, the team owner Leslie Alexander had an interest involving the Rockets franchise in the Las Vegas area. Rumors surfaced of a team move which never took place as Houston was a larger and more favorable market. I'm pretty sure the Las Vegas area may get a NBA franchise in the early 2010's, but never the Rockets. + Mike D 26 11:57, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
