[edit] Neutrality

I removed the POV tag because it is not argued why it should be there. -- Face 13:50, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Corrections everywhere

I've made numerous revisions to the article in the form of minor rewordings or grammatical corrections. I've also linked some things that probably should have been linked, such as Pokémon names and TMs. I don't know how to link the TMs to go directly to the TM section... so, would someone do that? Thanks. I'll continue making any little corrections I think are necessary, since no discussions are taking place on the talk page. Revert them if you don't like my revisions. *shrug* As long as you post something on the talk page. Vancar 21:26, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Biology vs Behavior

The biology section seems to contain information that doesn't really have too much to do with the actual biology of Houndoom. Anyone think this should be altered? Vancar 18:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Nevermind. After checking out everything that biology entails, it does all fit. Vancar 18:33, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Controversy

Could someone provide a refference to some kind of website that mentions that "Controversy" over Houndoom's design? Yes, it does resemble a demon dog, by I myself have not heard of any controversy regarding the Pokemon's design.

[edit] Hidden Power Grass

First of all, I think the whole movesets paragraph should be removed from the video games section, and it's pushing the needle into the unencyclopedic section, but that's not my main point here. I'm concerned with the phrasing of the attack "Hidden Power Grass". That's not the name of the attack. Could someone find a better way to write the attack while keeping the grass description in? Like "Hidden Power (with grass power yadda yadda). --Brandon Dilbeck 00:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] From Ganondorf555

Due to the lack of a page explaining this controversy, I am deleting it from the article.

[edit] The Hound of the Baskervilles

I was thinking that perhaps Houndour and Houndoom are both inspired by "The Hound of the Baskervilles". It would make sense, as the Hound was said to be a vicious dog that would attack from the shadows. Both Pokémon attack mainly in the cover of darkness and are known for their intimidating appearances. Just athought, though I'd like to include it in the article. Does anyone object to adding it in?- Floramage! 16:05, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

I think that might qualify as original research, but I'm not sure. Anyone else have an opinion? 205.242.61.164 22:35, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

I've had similar thoughts myself, but then, where did the inspiration for the Hound of the Baskervilles come from? We'll be going around in circles, especially as the naming controversy section was deleted (and good riddance). -Kain 02:00, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Try reading the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hound_of_the_Baskervilles Yugiohguy1 01:05, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Personally, I think that the opinion that it would "make sense" that Houndoom was inspired by The Hound of the Baskervilles is useless. In fact, I think I'll call it original research. Don't get me wrong, I've had thoughts about the similarities between Houndoom and The Hound of the Baskervilles, but no one cares about what a few other people think. -- The M.P. 20:31, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] How to obtain inaccuracy

In the article, it says that the only ways to get Houndoom in the third generation games are from Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness, but this is not true. Houndour can be found in the altering cave in Fire Red, Leaf green and Emerald under certain circumstances and Houndour is also found in Emerald naturally. Once a player has the National pokédex, an extension of the safari zone opens, containing several National pokédex pokémon, including Houndour. In all of these cases, the Houndour can be evolved into a Houndoom. It says so on Houndour's article.
