Description

Ruins of Houghton House, near Ampthill, Bedfordshire, UK. Originally built in 1621 by Mary Sidney, Countess of Pembroke, this building provided the inspiration for House Beautiful in John Bunyan's famous work 'The Pilgrims Progress'. Photo taken by en:APB-CMX in 2002.
