Houseboat Horror is an Australian slasher film released to video in 1989. It is often described as the worst Australian movie ever made. The video packaging carried the promotion "See the movie that can't get an Academy Award".
Houseboat Horror is now growing in cult status with lovers of cinematic schlock.[citation needed]
Houseboat Horror carries a casting credit for Deborra-Lee Furness, now wife of successful actor Hugh Jackman, and also features Alan Dale.
