House of Bunić/Bona

The House of Bunić/Bona (Bunić is the Croatian rendition; Bona is the Ragusan Dalmatian/Italian rendition) is a very old family, for nine centuries in Ragusa, the patriciate of the Bonas is of 940: they came from Vesta, a place in Apulia, where there considered an ancient german family (antiqua stirpe Allemana). In Vienna 9.9.1535 (for Hieronymus de BONA, envoy of the Republic of Ragusa in Vienna). Michael de Bona and your son Lucas Michael de Bona* 24 September 1782, married with Anna Edle v. Farkas, he received for itself and their descendants d.d. 12. April 1754 by August III, Prince of Saxonia and king of Poland the title: “marchio”, which s. d. 4. May 1766 registered by the Republic of Ragusa into the register. Mihael Frano Filip Luca Marquess Bunić/Bona's title was restored during the incorporation into the Austrian Empire. On 27 December 1817, the Emperor Franz I state confirmed the family as aristocracy, and granted the title of Marquess.
- Marion Nobil Bunić/Bona received in 25 August 1806 the confirmation of your nobility, married with Marija Saraka, the same received d.d. 10. August 1817 the aristocracy confirmation as Nobile and left two sons:
- 1) Blaž Marino Josip Bunić/Bona , born 31. May 1806 (?)
- 2) Eduard Blaž Maria Bunić/Bona, born 12. Oct. 1816, Capitain is in Zengg.
- Mihael Bunić/Bona, born 21 November 1827, Indigena in Siebenburger, married 18 February 1860 with Maria de Natali, born in Ragusa 14 December 1842. They had 5 children:
- a) Bolvrena Marija Berta Bunić/Bona, born 15 July 1861.

- c) Nicoletta Gisella Bunić/Bona, born 18 September 1865.

Kleinod: The eagle - covers: red The Marchesen Bona leads helmets still the Marchesen crown on the sign, under that (instead of the beads of five lilien förmige sheets).
