Houjoue (放生会?) is an 6CD album set by Japanese noise musician Masami Akita (秋田昌美?), under the name Merzbow. Houjoue was recorded between January and August 2005 and includes a live set recorded in Sweden, 2004. This boxset was presented in a double-thickness DVD case and the artwork was completed by Masami. Houjoue was limited to 1000 copies, and will be deleted after this first pressing.
