[edit] "Wikify" and "unreferenced" templates.

An open letter to User:Wiki-wikify:

Hello. A short time ago, I created this article. You then added the "wikify" and "unreferenced" templates.

I feel quite strongly that this article is properly wikified, and has very appropriate internal links and section layout. I've studied Wikiproject Albums at some length, and looked at many album articles, and I also have some familiarity with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. In my humble opinion this article is a very well wikified Stub class article about a rock album. Besides following the standard layout for an album article and having excellent internal links, it includes features such as an album infobox with an image and links to professional reviews, and appropriate categories.

As far as not citing references or sources, yeah, you got me there. I think all Wikipedia articles should cite lots of reliable references, and this article has none. But, the same can be said of many, many articles about albums, especially the shorter articles. While I agree that this article would be better with some good citations, I would question the value of adding the "unreferenced" template to a short article about a rock album.

If you would let me know what you think about all this by replying here, I would appreciate it. -- Mudwater 02:19, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay. I know that wikipedias guidelines say that articles need to be referenced. Maybe I shouldn't have placed the tags there. But if I wrote an article about a band I would list some references.Wiki-wikify 02:24, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'd like to go ahead and remove the two templates. I am actually interested in trying to find a few good references to add to the article, but I probably won't get to that right away. I would encourage you to reply again here if you read this. -- Mudwater 02:39, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
I have removed the "wikify" and "unreferenced" templates per the discussion above. -- Mudwater 10:41, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I've added several references to the article. That's better. I also added an external link to the Hot Tuna web site. -- Mudwater 11:27, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:HotTunaCD.jpg

Image:HotTunaCD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I have changed the fair use rationale for the album cover image, adding the name of this article. — Mudwater 08:50, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
