Hotline Connect

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hotline Connect (casually referred to as Hotline) was a multi-purpose internet communications product released in 1997 by Adam Hinkley (also known as "Hinks"). It is no longer being produced. The protocol utilized a client/server model of networking, combining chat, news, and file transfer capabilities into one product. In its peak of usage, Hotline was notorious for the exchange of warez and porn. The Hotline network is no longer in mainstream use, but some of the online communities survive to this day.
