Hotel Monasterio

The Hotel Monasterio is a luxury five-star hotel in Cuzco, Peru. It is a refurbished baroque monastery built in the seventeenth century. It is located two blocks from the Plaza de Armas, an important touristical site. It is a ten minute drive from the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport. The hotel has 109 Guest Rooms, 12 Junior Suites, 1 deluxe suite, 2 royal suites, and 3 presidential suites. It has 127 rooms in total. Because of Cusco's altitude at almost 3 and a half kilometers (2mi.) above sea level many of the rooms have oxygen pumped in directly to help altitude sickness.
