Hotel Meurice

Le Meurice is a hotel in Paris located on the Rue de Rivoli. (228 rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France)

Presently a member of the Dorchester Collection hotels [1], the Meurice gained notoriety, having been chosen by the invading Nazis as the German HQ in occupied Paris, during World War II, and also as the place where General Leclerc accepted the surrender of said German forces in 1944.

It's restaurant was ranked 33rd best in the world by Restaurant (magazine) Top 50 in 2008.
