Hotel Lights

Hotel Lights is an American rock band founded by songwriter Darren Jessee formerly of Ben Folds Five.

Jessee is joined by drummer Zeke Hutchins, bassist Roger Gupton, and keyboardist Chris Badger. They recorded their self-titled debut at Sound of Music studios in Virginia with guitarist and producer Alan Weatherhead of Sparklehorse. Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne lent his talents in arrangements. A six-song EP titled "Goodnightgoodmorning" was recorded and released later that year. A new Hotel Lights album titled "Firecracker People" is due out August 19th 2008 on Bar/None Records.

Hotel Lights songs have been used in the Television shows Greys Anatomy and One Tree Hill. The song "Miles Behind Me" is in the Movie Baby Mama (film) featuring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
