The Hotaru River is a tributary of the Olt River in Romania. It joins the Olt River near the Vadu Roşu railway stration.
This river should not be confused with the Hotaru River (but flowing into the Olt River approximately 7 miles upstream, near the village of Colonia Reconstrucţia) nor with the Hotaru River (flowing into the Olt River approximatively 10 miles downstream, near the village of Măieruş) both having identical names.
