[edit] Trivia
- This music video and the one for "Stressed Out" were the two that were not featured on the A Tribe Called Quest Video Anthology.
- In the music video, Q-Tip wears a ski mask. This was to hide the damage he suffered from a physical altercation with Wreckx-N-Effect. The group felt they were dissed in the group's single "Jazz (We've Got)"
- This song was the shortest song A Tribe Called Quest released as a single.
- This is the only song the group did for a film's soundtrack.
- The production from "Hot Sex" was sampled for Heltah Skeltah's 1998 hit single "I Ain't Havin' That" and Mary J. Blige's 2003 single, "Love @ 1st Sight".
