"Hot 'n' Nasty" was the sixth single released in 1972 by English rock outfit Humble Pie, one of the first so-called supergroups of the 1960s-'70s. The song peaked at # 52 in the US Billboard chart.
The song appears on their fifth studio album Smokin' also released in 1972 and features their minor hit single "30 Days in the Hole". This was the first studio album to not feature original Pie member Peter Frampton (being replaced by Clem Clempson). It reached # 6 in the American Billboard album chart. After the departure of Frampton, which devastated Marriott, the band's sound got much heavier on the direction of their manager Dee Anthony.
The B-side is "You're So Good for Me".
