Being native Czech speaker for about 40 years, I can say that the word hospod has not been used anymore and I've never met this word in any text, as far as I can remember. There are two related nouns in Czech hospoda meaning pub, and hospodář meaning either (historically) a manager and owner of a farm or mill or (modern) the one who manages money (rather informal word, or used in proverbs). "Hospodar" isn't commonly used as a word but it is still used as some people's last name -- like mine for example. PasainaPasaina 22:01, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
