Hostice (Hungarian: Gesztete) is a village and municipality in the Rimavská Sobota District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1332 (1332 Gezeche, 1350 Geste , 1431 Gezthete). It belonged to noble families Ratoldoy and Lórantfy. In the XVI century it had to pay tributes to Turks. From 1938 to 1945 it belonged to Hungary.
