Hospital of Saint Raphael

The Hospital of Saint Raphael or Saint Raphael Hospital, located in New Haven, Connecticut, USA, is a 511-bed hospital and an academic health center affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine. It was founded by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in 1907. The Hospital of Saint Raphael is the only Catholic hospital in Greater New Haven. It's named after the archangel Raphael. Over the past century it has grown from a 12-room hospital into the Saint Raphael Healthcare System. Today, the Saint Raphael Healthcare System offers adult and pediatric medical services and adult surgical services. The Hospital of Saint Raphael has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the United States by Solucient Leadership Institute for cardiovascular care.
