Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells

Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells was founded in 1961, making it one of the oldest hospital radio stations in the United Kingdom.

The Kent based station is funded by contributions from the League of Friends and from numerous fund-rasing events, the station has three purpose built radio studios. With the addition of computer technology, the station now broadcasts 24 hours a day.

The station volunteers provide the programmes and are also actively involved in engineering and raising funds. Over the past 30 years, almost 40 members have moved into the broadcasting industry on a full-time professional basis.
