Welcome to Wikipedia. Here's how the messaging works. But, you can just use the article discussion page if you want. The thing is the editor addressed might not be on the article now and might not plan to get back. On the pooh-pooh I suppose you mean something like "this is not encyclopedic style." OK. It is acceptable informal English though. English is very flexible. You can plug almost anything in as a part of speech.

On your user page you don't have to do a big display. "Soon" leaves some uncertainty whether this is in fact a user page.Dave 12:54, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

It's OK, I changed it. I've run into the same thing wih British provincialisms. The British do not realize they are provincialisms. If you read philosophy you'll be seeing me for a while. I jump around a bit.Dave 19:55, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
