Canadian music
This article is part of the Canadian music WikiProject (Discuss/Join).

The article claimed the Shoe would be closing on it's 52th anniversary. That would be in 1999. This has clearly not happened, and I removed that reference. Maury 13:34, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Checkerboard Floor

I'm not sure how to add this (maybe a trivia section?) but the Tragically Hip song 'Bobcaygeon' makes reference to the Horseshoe Tavern and it's checker-board dance floor in the line: 'Those nights in Toronto/with its checker-board floors'
