Talk:Hornby Island
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After much internal debate, I finally decided to merge the content I found at Hornby Island British Columbia and Hornby Island, Canada into a single article at Hornby Island. The factors/conclusions, in no particular order are: A) that was where the most internal links were pointed, B) there wasn't enuf content to necessitate separate articles for the community and the island (and they're so small I doubt there's enuf to say that it will get to big) C) neither original article was quite at a correct name. D) there didn't seem to be another notable "Hornby Island"--there may be a much lesser known one in the Bahamas, but since it doesn't have an article no disambiguation is necessary for now.
If someone thinks the subject would be better served by trying to separate the island from the community, and thinks neither deserves primary disambiguation, the proper titles would be Hornby Island (British Columbia) and Hornby Island, British Columbia, respectively (both of which I've made redir here for the time being), with Hornby Island becoming a disamb page (which of the two new names this page should be moved to would depend on which of the two topics are more reflected in the page history). [edit] Provincial Parks
Helliwell and Tribune Bay Provincial Parks are absolutely beautiful. They are one of the many beautiful locations of the northern pacific coast. Perhaps I am biased since I reside on Vancouver Island.
[edit] Photos
I found one of my Hornby Island photos and inserted it, but I've left the note up top asking for more, because one rocky beach doesn't quite tell the story. North Madison 05:47, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
