- ESPN College Gameday's Rece Davis referenced the USC vs Greatest armies in history thread when discussing the upcoming national championship game between Texas and USC. Host Chris Fowler is also "an avid reader" of the site.[1]
- Godzillatron, the nickname for the brand new scoreboard at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, was coined on this message board.[2]
- KVUE featured a story about the outpouring of support from posters in the passing of mihm_rules.[3]

[edit] Message boards as sources
I have removed the criticisms section.[1] To be frank, I'm surprised this nonsense has been allowed to last. Message boards are not reliable sources and sourcing things from an opponent's message board is absolutely ludicrous on its face. Please source any legitimate criticisms with news media and other verifiable sources - message board rants are not verifiable. --B (talk) 06:11, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
