Horyniec-Zdrój is a village in Poland, situated close to the border with Ukraine (~4 km), with almost 3,000 inhabitants. It is an administrative centre of Horyniec Zdrój rural commune.
Horyniec-Zdrój is a spa town with its three well-developed sanitariums - CRR KRUS (Horyniec-Zdrój, Bajka (Horyniec-Zdrój) and Uzdrowisko Horyniec (Horyniec-Zdrój (Sanitarium Horyniec-Zdrój).
Most of the people living in Horyniec-Zdrój are farmers, at present having their own's farms. However, after the transition from communism to a market economy, many people have lost their work, what highly increased the unemployment. In nowadays, the situation gets better, but it is still a big problem for local government. The tourism has also contributed to fall the unemployment.
