[edit] Characters
[edit] Sarah Whitney
Sarah is an eleven year old girl who was born on March 15 and she likes to make friends, and encourages others to do their best and have fun. She comes from a rich family, but unlike them, does not consider herself better because of it. Sarah is very intelligent but often feels shy, insecure, and vulnerable. She is a talented rider who has been riding since she was five and has a way with horses that is often mistaken for "horse whispering". Voiced by Dana Donlan
Sarah's horse is Scarlet, a high-strung black Arabian Horse. She is a fearless, regal, leader of the heard. However, she can also be moody and at times seems to want to be left alone. Her icon is a red crown.
[edit] Alma Rodriguez
Alma is twelve years old and comes from a tight-knit Hispanic family. Her father has worked as the overseer of the stable-hands at Horseland for over ten years. As a young child, Alma often pleaded with her father to take her to work with him so she could see and play with the horses until she was old enough to go by herself. She is very talented in show jumping but can sometimes be overconfident. Smart, Alma seems to take every opportunity to read. Voiced by Emily Hernandez
Alma's horse is Button, a piebald Pinto mare who is mischievous and often plays tricks on her owner and the other horses. When it is time to be serious, however, she is the best! Her icon is a green clover.
[edit] Chloe Stilton
Chloe is twelve years old and quite a competitive and forceful young girl, especially with her sister, Zoey. She is extremely confident and likes to let other people know of her talents.Chloe loves purple and is smart. This is particularly true of dressage at which she excels. She is especially fond of clothes and make up and loves to look great when she rides. She has a huge crush on Bailey and tries to impress him with her riding abilities. She was born on May 6. Though Chloe is competitive with her sister, they still support each other when it's important. Voiced by Bianca Heyward.
Chloe's horse is Chili, a Light Grey Dutch Warmblood stallion who shares Chloe's spark of confidence to the point that he feels he is the most talented horse in Horseland. He is good at jumping and dressage. His icon is a lavender diamond. The other horse Chloe has seen riding was a bay Quarter Horse in the episode "The Competition."
[edit] Zoey Stilton
Zoey is eleven years old and Chloe's younger sister. Unlike Chloe, Zoey takes a sneaky approach with her competitiveness. Like Chloe, Zoey has a crush on Bailey and is into fashion and make-up. She is good at riding, and can be outspoken in defense of her beliefs. While Zoey is competitive with her sister, she is very supportive of Chloe in times of need. Though Zoey can be rude and competitive at times, she can also be considerate and nice. Voiced by Bianca Heyward.
Zoey's horse is Pepper, a Grey Dutch Warmblood mare that is quick-tempered but beautiful. Her icon is a turquoise cresent moon.
[edit] Molly Washington
Molly is an eleven year old African-American girl who often deals with life's problems through humor. She is very funny, charismatic, and a free-spirit. She makes fun of herself and sometimes the other kids, which causes them to get annoyed at the fact that she doesn't seem to take much seriously. She was born on April 24. However, Molly can become serious and ride a horse just as well as the others when her friends are counting on her. She is good at western riding with Calypso. Voiced by Aleyah Smith.
Molly's horse is Calypso, a spotted Appaloosa who is amiable, laid-back, affectionate, a little slow, and hard to train. Once she learns something once, however, she's learnt it for life! Her icon is a pink heart.
[edit] Bailey Handler
Bailey is the twelve year old son of the Horseland owners. Sometimes, he can be moody, temperamental and a troublemaker who often takes risks and gambles without considering the consequences of his actions. He loves animals, especially horses and insists that they be treated with kindness and gentleness. Bailey is also the resident heartthrob, the object of most of the girls' affections. He has a crush on Chloe. Voiced by David Kalis.
Bailey's horse is Aztec, a bay Kiger Mustang, who is very brave but can also be hot-headed, a daredevil, and a big risk-taker, like his master. His icon is a blue lightning bolt.
[edit] Will Taggert
Will is fourteen years old, which makes him the oldest of the group. He is Bailey's cousin and has lived with Bailey's family ever since he was a little boy. Mature and insightful, he often acts as an adult figure to the rest of the kids, and an older brother to Bailey. He is often in charge of the ranch when Bailey's parents aren't around and instructs riding lessons. He loves to listen to country music, ride horses, and can always be seen dressed in cowboy garb. Voiced by Vincent Michael
Will's horse is Jimber, a powerful Palomino stallion who has a similar commanding presence on the other horses like Will does for the kids. Jimber worked as a ranch horse before coming to Horseland. His icon is a black star.
[edit] Teeny
Teeny is a curious little pig who always learns from Shep, the dog, when he tells the stories of the kids from Horseland. She is teased by Angora, the cat, but she never really realizes it. She talks really fast and is a cute little character who can always make you laugh.
[edit] Angora
Angora is the stuck-up, snobby cat who feels that she deserves better than anyone else. Her favorite people at the stables are Chloe and Zoey because they are so much like her. A running gag in the series is the fact that Angora loves trouble and hates it when there is peace in Horseland. She enjoys the company of Shep and Teeny, although when the subject was brought up, she remarked, "The nerve!".
[edit] Shep
Shep is the leader of the group of the animals between Teeny and Angora. He is a very loyal ranch, collie dog and always helps and accompanies the kids, and horses, in moments of urgencies.
