Hornet (dinghy)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Hornet dinghy was designed by Jack Holt in 1953.
It is crewed by two with a sliding seat ( Planker’s), single trapeze or by three where neither is present. The Hornet is a restricted class meaning that all hulls, sailing weights, sail plans, and mast weights are similar. The class started being built in wood until the builders Coombes, Goodwin and Baker built them in composite, fiberglass and later by Speed Sails in FRP.
