Horace Baldwin Rice

Horace Baldwin Rice was a prominent early Texas businessman. Rice was also very active in politics, serving once as Harris County Commissioner and twice as Mayor of Houston], from 1896 to 1898 and again from 1905 to 1913. He was also the grandson of Horace Baldwin, who served as mayor in 1844.
