- As regards your comments to Vintagekits, the topic is under discussion here Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-12-02 IRA 'Volunteer' usage and so is already in mediation. Feel free to contribute Weggie 12:04, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IRA "volunteer" usage
You recently discussed this matter on User:Vintagekits talk page. Whether to use "member" or "V/volunteer" is under mediation. [edit] List of people from York, Pennsylvania
Hi, I removed the speedy deletion tag from this article because there's no reason to delete it. As you point out , this article has a lot of room for expansion, and just because it hasn't yet been done is no reason to delete the article. If you have any questoins, please feel free to ask them here or on my talk page --- Deville (Talk) 17:19, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ok, what are you doing?
I noticed that you're going through a lot of articles and removing the categories from several people, and then nominating the categories for redirection since they are empty. Of course, they're not empty because you've removed all of the entries. Could you please explain to me why you are doing that? I don't see any discussion of this anywhere, and what you're doing really looks a lot like vandalism. Please explain! -- Deville (Talk) 17:22, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering. Sorry, I misinterpreted a lot of what you were doing with the counties when I looked at your earlier contributions, and I thought your actions were more widespread. So, looking more carefully, it looks like what you're doing with, for example, Adams Country is ok. Sorry about the confusion (which was entirely my fault!) --- Deville (Talk) 17:40, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

- I see what you're saying. Yeah, that looked strange but now I understand why you did it. You might also find it useful to check out Help:Category and Wikipedia:Categorization FAQ if you don't already know about them. There's usually a pattern for how a class of categories work (and I'm not entirely fluent with the "people from..." categories) and it's best if the ones you're making fit into the same framework people have already made. Hope this helps --- Deville (Talk) 17:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
