Hopewell is named after the first all black school in Round Rock. [2] HMS feeds to Stony Point High School along with C.D. Fulkes and Ridgeview. [3]

The following Elementary Schools feed into Hopewell:

  • Cactus Ranch (Moves to Walsh in 2008)
  • Caldwell Heights
  • Double File Trail

  • Robertson
  • Teravista (Starts in 2008)

[edit] History

The original school, currently the Stony Point 9th Grade Center, was built in 1996 to accommodate growth in northeastern Round Rock. The school shared land with Stony Point which was built in 1999. Stony Point grew so fast that the district decided to convert the middle school into a 9th grade center. Hopewell's name and history was transferred to the new middle school being built in tandem with Ridgeview.

[edit] Awards and Recognition

The campus meets the "Acceptable" state performance rating.[4]
