Hope Springs is a new British television drama series for BBC One to be shown in late 2008. It will be produced by Shed Media, the company behind Bad Girls and Footballers' Wives.
Former EastEnders actress, Jessie Wallace has been tipped to play the part of gang leader, Ellie [1]

The 8-part series will follow the lives of four female ex-cons attempting to start a new life, who find themselves in the Scottish village of Hope Springs.
Filming is set to begin in Summer 2008. [2]
