Hope High School (Rhode Island)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hope High School is a public high school in the East Side of Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A. operated by Providence Public School District. Since 2003, Hope High School has been partitioned into three semi-independent "communities", each with its own principal:
- Hope High School Arts Community - Scott Sutherland, Principal
- Hope Info Tech - Dr. Arthur P. Petrosinelli, Principal
- Hope Leadership - Dr. Wayne Montague, Principal
This triune system was built to remedy a history of exceptionally low test scores at Hope High School. Many regard Hope High - and the future success or failure of these reforms - as a "litmus test" for educational reform in Rhode Island.[1]
It serves grades 9-12 with a total of 1449 students.
