On my trip this morning, I noted the socio-economic diversity of persons buried in the cemetery. The majority of burials appear to be Portuguese with some native Hawaiians (Robert Wilcox) and Chinese Hawaiians (such as John Ena). Noting that the teaching of the Catholic Church accords much respect to the eartly remains of its members in preparation for the resurrection of the body, I was somewhat disappointed in portions of the cemetery being poorly maintained. I certainly hope that heaven isn't that way. The platform in the pictures appears to have been a chapel (since torn down). Aloysius Patacsil 01:39, Sep 19, 2004 (UTC)
