They are completely different, except that they are identification documents for travelling. The Reentry Permits are issued by the Hong Kong Government for Hong Kong residents to enter Hong Kong from all other places. The Home Return Permits issued by mainland China are for residents of Hong Kong and Macao to visit the mainland. — Instantnood 04:07, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

I would still wonder why there is two entries for the same thing, the differences being capitalization: this and Hong Kong re-entry permit. Since this article contain all things that that article has, I propose that article to be merged here. Samuel Curtis 06:24, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
