I was just wondering is someone could verify her place of birth, as IMDB says she was born in Cardiff.

Thanks

That's why i changed it, but it got reverted back. I can't find any other sources on this. iMDB says Rollo and Perdita were born in Caerdydd too User:Craitman17 14:14, 8 February (UTC)
In a 2002 interview which was part of the Foyle's War press pack of 2002, Honeysuckle states that she was born in Cardiff. "Sam was described to me at the outset as someone who was born in Cardiff and brought up in the South Downs. In real life, I know the South Downs like the back of my hand because I grew up there and I was also born in Cardiff. I felt transported into the character as I read." The interview is available at www.foyleswar.com. I think there is a direct link at the bottom of Honeysuckle's wiki page. Florrie 22:37, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
I corrected Honeysuckle's place of birth. As well as the interview in the official press-pack there is also the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages which can confirm the location if anyone cares to double-check. I only recorded the one easy-to-access online source, however, as a reference. Florrie 13:51, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Well, first, you made your edit with no explanation – not even an edit summary – and secondly, you gave no source. Those sorts of edits tend to be reverted.

When I first created the article, the IMDb entry gave her birthplace as Chichester (supported by other sources, such as this, this, [1], and this). IMDb can, unfortunately, be edited by users, so isn't always a wholly reliable source of information (note, though, that it gives Chichester as the birthplace for Rollo, backed up by this and this). She was an undergraduate at my College, though, so I'll see if the College Office has details (it will count as original research, but at least it will be something extra that I can mention on the Talk page). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 15:19, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

you don't always need an edit summary, as you can see the changes when comparing articles... but you didn't need to go into so much detail, i believe you. ijust wanted to be sure of all three weeks' birthplaces, as they are noted differently in (eg.) iMDB and Wiki.

thanks User:Craitman17 20:20, 8 Feb 2007 (UTC)

Actually you do always need an edit summary; editors are asked always to give one, and people who try to become admins are badly affected (and sometimes fail) if they don't use them. It's a courtesy to other editors.
I'm still looking for Perdita Weeks' birthplace, but it seems unlikely to me that it's Cardiff, partly because the Cardiff claim at IMDb seems clearly false for the others. (I suspect that the IMDb entry for Honeysuckle Weeks will be changed before long.) --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 23:17, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
As the final word, I have found all three siblings in the Birth register indexes. Honeysuckle and Perdita were born in South Glamorgan, Rollo was born in Chichester. The dates indicate that they moved sometime in 1986, or early 1987. MortimerCat 00:30, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

A note to say that "television series: Close Relations (1998)" has a link that goes to the wrong thing (it goes to 1933 movie instead of a 1998 TV series). --Cymen (talk) 22:20, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
