The Hong Kong Open was a professional snooker tournament. It was a ranking tournament, but ran for one season only, in 1989. It was won by outsider Mike Hallett.
The tournament was originally intended to be the "Australian Open", but was moved at the last minute. It was the first ranking tournament to be held in Asia.
