Hong Kong Higher Level Examination

The Hong Kong Higher Level Examination (Chinese: 香港高等程度會考) was a public examination normally taken by students in Hong Kong after finished their Form 6 (Lower Sixth), aimed to enter the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), then provided its courses in 4 years. It is different from the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) taken by Form 7 (Upper Sixth) students. It is usually taken by students from Chinese schools. It was abolished in 1993, with the CUHK changed its courses to 3-years based, same with that of Hong Kong University.
