Hong Kong Advanced Supplementary Level Examination

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hong Kong Advanced Supplementary Level Examination (HKASLE, Chinese: 香港高級補充程度會考), since 1994, is a qualification in Hong Kong comparable with the British AS-level. The exam is a supplementary to Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) after the transformation of all UGC-granted tertiary education from 4-year to 3-year and the cancellation of Hong Kong Higher Level Examination (HKHLE) for 4-year degree of Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1993. The greatest difference from the British AS-level exam is that HKASLE and HKALE are administered together between March to May, unlike the British system where they are administratered in two different years for each candidate.
