Honestly is the American glam metal band Stryper's fifth single and their highest charting single on The Billboard Hot 100. "Honestly" became one of the most-requested songs on MTV.[1] and "Honestly" is Stryper's best-known song, peaking at #32 on the Top 40 charts.[2]
The single was released in several different formats, including 12" inch & 7" vinyl singles, as well as cassette singles.
"Honestly" is a power ballad, a love song that the vocalist Michael Sweet wrote for his wife Kyle Sweet. The critics typically described the song as overtly syrupy or sugary.[3]
