Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District

The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District (HF-L) is a public school district in New York State (USA) that serves approximately 2700 students in the village of Honeoye Falls and portions of the towns of Henrietta, Mendon and Rush in Monroe County; portions of the towns of Avon, Lima, and Livonia in Livingston County; and portions of the towns of Richmond, Victor and West Bloomfield in Ontario County, with over 400 employees and an operating budget of $35 million (~$13,014 per student).[1]
The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District was established in 1969 by a merger of the neighboring Honeoye Falls and Lima school districts.
The average class size is 22-25 students and the student-teacher ratio is 15.5:1(elementary), 14.5:1(middle-high school).[2]
Michelle Kavanaugh is the Superintendent of Schools.

The Board of Education (BOE) consists of 9 members who serve rotating 3-year terms. Elections are held each May for board members and to vote on the School District Budget.

In 2007, the New York State Education Department named the District a high performing/gap closing school district for the third consecutive year. The District's Newsweek rating climbed again for the fifth consecutive year, placing it in the top 1.3% of schools in the nation.
