From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Honeycreepers are an assemblage that unites two groups of songbirds, the "true" honeycreepers of the tanager family (Thraupidae) and the Hawaiian honeycreepers of the finch family (Fringillidae). These are fairly close relatives as songbirds go, but nonetheless well distinct from each other. Thus, the "honeycreepers" are not a natural group.
