Talk:Homeroom

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have cleaned the page up a little, and added the UK version. Any other international alternatives? --JiMternet

I've added some more details to your edits and split up the non-US section into 'internaitonal' variations.

Still needs more work though. --Perfectblue97

I'm not sure if the UK section is, strictly speaking, accurate. It sounds correct for England and Wales, but Scotland has a seperate education system. In my school (... in Scotland) we just had "Registration Class", and I have never heard of "Tutour Groups", and only heard of "Forms" as an English phenomenon. "Registration (class)" would seems to be equivalent of "Homeroom" in England and Wales, or at least my experience in England, as well as Scotland. How long Registration lasted seemed to depend on that school. . However, as well as the short registration before morning and afternoon there were also "form periods" or "form lessons" to deal with administrative matters usually at the start or end of term and especially at the start of the school year.Jojas 12:42, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
