[edit] This article has been Wikified
I have remove the wikify tag of this article after a re-organization of the article and added an info box.
But more work still need to be done, I am unable to do so because the search of his name yield little additional info on yahoo or google. I do believe he is notable, as a reserve area has been name after him, but I think most of his reference would come from paper record:
1. Citation needed for details of his marriage, especially since the original editor seems to suggest Ruth is also his sister. Need to clarify if that is a blood relationship or a term of endearment.
NB: Obiturary of his daughter-in-law confirm Ruth is indeed his wife, but need further citation to clarify the term "Sister" (Most likely, it mean brother and sister of the same congregation. in the case, suggested a change from "sister" to a less confused term.
2. The newspaper links for his obituary are unverifiable as the newspaper archives are for subscribers only. Also need further verification of his Media work section. Perhaps some recording on Youtube?
3. There seems to be a photo on his homepage, perhaps someone can try to look at copy-right issue and post it up in the info box.Chineseartlover 00:45, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ref 1, will change the word sister to avoide confusion for now. Chineseartlover 00:45, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Religion of Homer D Calkin
The original editor did not supply this information. United Church of Christ is a possiblity but need further citation: Homer D Calkin was married in the Church in the Wildwood, Nashua, Iowa. According to the home page of the church, it is currently affiliated with the United Church of Christ. However, as the church is a popular location for marriage for loacl people as well as tourists, it is not sure whether Homer D. Calkins belong to this congregation. Also, it is not clear whether the Church has change affiliation over the time since he got married. Chineseartlover 00:46, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
