Aspects of the plot, characters, and dialogue are notably similar to The Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble's 2005/2006 stage production of Wounded, the story of four soldiers attempting to assimilate into civilian life after receiving physical and psychological injuries while serving in Iraq.
