Homna (Bengali: হোমনা) is an Upazila of Comilla District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is famous for its natural beauty and some historic sites. People of Homna fought bravely in Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Homna thana (now an upazila) was established in 1918.

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Homna has a population of 211,563. Males constitute 50.21% of the population, and females 49.79%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 99,699. Homna has an average literacy rate of 21.9% (7+ years), and the national average is 32.4%. [2]

- Sreemaddi is a village which has a long history.It is the bigest village of this upazilla.It has aproximatly 11,000 voters and 4 kilomitres long.Hundreds of boys and girls are students.85% of teenagers are schoolgoar.Many of them try to continue their higher study at home & abroad.One thing very pathetic that people here practse unhuman activities like NIANDERTHAL MAN (ancient stone age man).
