Home at Last is a song by Steely Dan, and is the fifth track on their 1977 album Aja. It is inspired by the epic poem The Odyssey, reflecting the feelings associated with a long-awaited homecoming.[citation needed]
Original Steely Dan member Denny Dias plays the guitar solos on this song, his last contribution to one of the band's songs.
Bernard Purdie plays drums on the track utilizing his signature beat called the "Purdie Shuffle".
