Baseball on Wikicities
Hello Holderca1, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball fan on Wikipedia. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Wikipedia and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Please let me know what you think either at my talk page, or you can email me at terry@wikia.com. Thanks! Googie Man(Talk), 16:19, 5 January 2006 (UTC).
Babe Ruth
I'm posting this message on you Talk Page either because you've contributed to the article Babe Ruth, or because you've edited other baseball or sports related articles. I've recently completed a revision of this article at Babe Ruth/rewrite. If you have the time, I'd appreciated it if you'd compare the articles and leave any feedback you might have on the rewrite discussion page. I'd like to reach a consensus before makeing major changes to the main article. Thanks for your help. --djrobgordon 20:41, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
If you have any interest in Template:MLB
please join the current discussion at Template talk:MLB. As a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball your opinion is particularly valued. Thanks. 66.167.139.143 08:36, 4 May 2006 (UTC).
All-Star Game Template
Good job on adding the template for previous All-Star games on the 2006 ASG page. Can you edit that template to include the fact that there were two All-Star Games every year from 1959-1962? You can call them 1959a and 1959b to be consistent with the MLB All-Star Game page.Ags412 21:47, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Final state highway naming conventions debate

WT:TXSH
I agree that the route box needs freshening up. As much as I would like to keep the original boxes, they still seem messy. On another note, I just went through SH 122 and make a transfer page to the Fort Bend Tollway page, which are kinda one in the same. I would like to see an infoxbox regarding SH 122 on that page, but don't yet know how it would be implemented. Any thoughts? 25or6to4 15:02, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the infobox on SH 121. Since they may truly be considered separate highways now, They may indeed need separate pages for now. On another note, there is a glitch in your infobox. The mileage segment is printing the mileage, but not the label. 25or6to4 18:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
New request for you regarding the infobox. Any way we can get the infobox to display the Toll signs now being used on state highways? Check out SH 130 for an example. The transfer of infoboxes is going smoothly so far. 25or6to4 23:57, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Re: 2006 Atlantic hurricane talk page
I don't know, ask Chacor, I think he did it first. I think that the system is a good idea, so I'm just going with it. Maybe I can chat with others and figure out if they want that system as well. -- RattleMan 21:05, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- CrazyC83 fixed it just now, by changing the first ERNESTO to lowercase. Now, if you want to go to #05L.Ernesto, it takes you to the top, and #05L.ERNESTO takes you to the NRL-confirmation. -- RattleMan 21:14, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- Ok, I just figured out what's up - It works correctly in Firefox, but doesn't in Internet Explorer (it goes to the first one as you stated). -- RattleMan 21:36, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
New baseball article improvement drive
Assessment
Texas articles should probably not have a separate system where it uses the WP:USRD/A stuff but its own categories. (The bot will choke on this). Either split Texas highway articles off entirely into their own assessment system, or (preferably) merge them back into U.S. Roads. Thanks! --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 03:23, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, let's see what the bot does with it overnight. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 04:34, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- I think it choked, I'll see what happened. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 03:30, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Re:Image tagging for Image:Katy_Freeway_2006.jpg
Your bot posted a message on my talk page, but I didn't upload the image, I just cropped out some white space on it. The message should of been posted on the original person that uploaded, they should be able to provide any copyright info. I have no idea where the image came from. --Holderca1 22:32, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- For an image with multiple uploads, the bot does its best to figure out which images are vandalism, which are reverts, which are minor adjustments, and which are entirely new images. Sometimes it get it wrong. To help the bot figure things out, include an upload summary describing what you did when you upload a modified version of an image: the bot looks for keywords such as "crop" or "adjust" to identify minor modifications. --Carnildo 06:40, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Picture on U.S. Route 175
Though the article is still very much a stub, US 175 does have a picture. It's pretty plain, but I like it (which is good, 'cause I took it!). Should I modify the template just added to the talk page? --Robertb-dc 19:50, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply (on my talk page). I'll try to get a pic that gives more of a feeling of the highway. --Robertb-dc 16:25, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Texas State Highway 151
Hey there. I'm in the process of getting software to work with SVG's, but it may take a while to learn the program and add the shields in. It may take a few days, but I am working on it. 25or6to4 19:08, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
I was going from memory on where 151 was limited access. I used to live in the area, but haven't seen the recent changes. I will update my map to reflect this. Are there any other upgrades in the last roughly 3 years that I might not know about? How far around is 1604 limited access? How's the crossroads interchange coming?
The article you and I did most of the work on last year...
...is now up for FAC. That would be the Evansville Tornado of November 2005 and I have added aftermath and additional information plus cleaned it up so it is now at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Evansville Tornado of November 2005. CrazyC83 05:09, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Texas articles
It's a long and slow process to move the articles. I'm currently switching back and forth between Florida and Texas, but rest assured that both those states and Wisconsin will most likely be done within the month (if not sooner). --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 22:59, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- I take that back, Northenglish is doing Florida, so I can finish Texas. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 03:54, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
LA Highway Shields
I don't have any specific specs for the shields, but I'd say that your centering is fine. From the actual Louisiana Highway shields that I've seen, your alignment is pretty much on the spot. Keep up the good work. The Louisiana shields are pretty underdeveloped. Theduckman1763 20:30, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
ND Highway shields
Did you notice that there is already a full complement of North Dakota highway shields? Why are you rreplacing them?
Also, the ones you're adding are also not displaying properly on that page.--Sable232 20:15, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- What's the difference? I spent a great deal of time on the png files. At 20px those svgs are not displaying right, the indian head is misshaped and the lines are irregular. --Sable232 20:18, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- I use Safari as a browser. I don't understand how it should make that much of a difference, as these shields are only displayed at two sizes, at full size on each highway's page, and as a 20px (or 24 in some cases) thumbnail on the lists. --Sable232 20:25, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- In that gallery they're the right shape, but the lines still don't look right. Full size the lines are fine. Also some of the numbers look out of position. --Sable232 20:28, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
-
-
-
-
- I should have been clearer. In the svgs the edges of the indian head look very rough, on the pngs they are smoothed out. The numbers seem to be too far up and to the left, which is probably why the lower right of the head looked wrong. --Sable232 20:34, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- I used the one existing image as a guide for locating the numbers. They're centered in the head, not the shield itself. This seemed to be the most visually pleasing layout, and I recall the actual signs being that way. --Sable232 20:41, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- I used the image here as the basis for mine.
- The newest one you just made now looks pretty much the same as the old ones. --Sable232 20:54, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Actually, I use a drawing program that is able to save documents as png files. As far as I know it can't do svg files. In fact, if I download an svg image, it is automatically converted to a png. --Sable232 21:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll try that. --Sable232 22:07, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

IN shields
These shields look quite good; I would say that you could finish the set.
All I know about IN shields is that there's not much difference between them and Illinois except for maybe the size of the border, which is thicker in Indiana than in Illinois. —Rob (talk) 16:51, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

New shield request
Hey there. I have a new shield request for Texas. I need a toll shield for SH 255, which is a toll highway outside Laredo. Here's a link to an image of the sign: [1]. It looks like the other toll road signs in wiki, but is white lettering on blue background instead of vice versa. 25or6to4 08:28, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the shield. Looks nice! Regarding your request about migration, how do I go about doing that? I have a commons login already, I just need instructions on how to move everything. Thanks. 25or6to4 10:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
I have some new shield requests (svg format) for TX FMs. These are the ones I've added, but need shields for: FMs (Montague Cty): 103, 1106, 1125, 1630, 1655, 174, 1749, 1758, 1759, 1806, 1815, 1816, 1956, 2127, 2382, 2634, 2849, 2953, 3043, 3301, 3394, 3428, 373, 455, 677, 730, 922; (Clay Cty): 1177, 1197, 1288, 171, 172, 173, 1740, 175, 1883, 1954, 2332, 2393, 2606, 2847, 810; (Cooke Cty): covered above. I'll start converting all of these to the new text boxes, as well. Treadlightly2006 13:30, 4 Jan 2006 (IZ)
WatchlistBot
After a long wikibreak, I'm finally getting to tagging the Texas State Highways articles. I've created the watchlist with articles that were already tagged, and am currently tagging all articles in tagged categories. When that's done, the list will regularly be updated, but retagging will not happen unless you ask. So, if articles get deleted or renamed or tagged by hand, the bot will catch it, but not if they're just created in the right category. Let me know if there's anything else you need (like traversing the category hierarchy to see if other categories need to be tagged -- the bot can do that easily, but I may need your input if the name of the category isn't obvious). Ingrid 02:25, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't tag any new categories the first time; I just tagged articles in categories which were already tagged. I just tagged all categories under Category:Roads in Texas, except for the following (and their subcategories, if they have any), which I wasn't sure if they belonged in your project. I can tag these easily enough if you want me to.
