Guitar Legends has the same functions as the guitar hero games. guitar legends is an upcoming game made by The Ruins, and Jerry Alexander from Z!kko(Psycho).

Guitar Legends comes with a guitar and bass. The guitar controller comes with six buttons, representing six strings, a start button, select button, and a rhythm and treble switch. If you just buy the game, and you have a guitar hero controller in, the game will automatically set the buttons to green, red, yellow, blue, and orange.
The bass has four buttons, representing four strings, a start button, and a select button. If you have a guitar hero guitar then it does the same thing as the guitar, on with the first four buttons. You can buy at a store a five button bass, for five strings.
The guitar has two plug ins, one for the wireless port, and one for the wah peddle. The bass has the same.

Guitar Legends has a create the band mode, you can create a character, song, guitar or bass, singer, and drummer. You do not get to use the drummer or singer, they are just there while you play.

To create a song, you can take out the disc and put it in your computer. Something will come up, its the song feature. There are five menus, set list, bonus, unlockable achievements, downloadable, and created. Go to created and upload a song from itunes or Limewire. put the disc back in the system and go to edit song. from there you can create or edit songs from the game or your computer.

The full soundtrack is yet unknown. We figure there will be 50 to 60 songs. In an interview on the Ruins website, Jake Rabin said " We have no idea how many songs there will be, besides the created feature. All we know is that there are alot of songs, not, but maybe, past 100."
Some of the songs were told though, here they are:

- Bleed it Out - Linkin Park
- Rainbow in the Dark - Dio

- Sleep Now in the Fire - Rage Against the Machine
- Paper Wings - Rise Against
- I Disappear - Metallica
Some the songs will be master tracks, some will not. The songs loading screen will say who its by, when released, and what album. It has been told that the Murder Room's song "21 and Loaded" will appear on the game.
On the website it was said that The Used's song Take it Away will be on guitar legends.
