[edit] Polishing

This article needs to be polished up a bit. I restored the old description on her work and role in the series, but it does not sound as well written as wikipedia articles ought to. I'll go work on it when I find the time, though. -- Valistar (talk) 18:10, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Root

Was Root insulted that she was assigned to his group? - LDW LDW: It's never really said. But from the text we can assume that he was insulted to begin with, but became very proud of Holly. Holly is the first female officer in the LEP, and many have tried to find a way to remover her. She is rash, and has problems with following orders. She is also the one they call when Artemis is up to no good.Black Leopard

root was never insulted that holly was in his group. he made her work harder because she had a larger reputation to maintain, being the first female officer. he didn't want her to set a bad example for future female officers. Jaybenad 18:45, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Height?

If she is 1cm under 3 feet, she cannot be 1m tall, since 1m is about 39 inches, which is 3 inches (about 7½cm) over 3 feet. HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 09:29, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

It's a descrepancy between the US and UK editions, I think... --72.140.8.253 18:18, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

she is 1cm under 1 metre. Andy mci 20:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

She's describes as being a metre tall, 1cm under the average fairy height. So the average fairy height is 101cm and Holly is 100cm. Lethe naiad 09:26, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Let me clear all this up. Her height was changed in the US edition to 3 feet to make it easier for Americans, who (still) use the Imperial system of measurement. Seeing as the original edition is the UK edition, this is what should be taken to be canon. The average height of a fairy is 1 metre. Therefore, Holly is 99 cm tall. -007bond 11:24, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but it says in Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception: "And even though, at one metre exactly, she was just below the average fairy height...."

And in the first book it says the same thing, this time saying that she's a centimetre below the average fairy height, which is 1m, 1cm. 58.173.114.226 09:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Position

She's no longer a Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance officer, she's Section Eight now, but still under the guise of a Private Investigator. Therequiembellishere 19:41, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Colfer has reccently confirmed that that there will be romance between Holly and Trouble in the next Artemis Fowl book. (Information from Artemis Fowl confidential.)

[edit] Language

In my recent cleanup of this article I used the word "tight-assed". While this definitely gives you a great description of his attitude, I admit it is unencyclopedic and should therefore be changed. Unfortunately I simply cannot think of a synonym, so I invite anyone to change this. -007bond 11:24, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
