Holy Trinity High School is a co-educational learning environment located centrally in Nassau County, NY. Education is based on New York State Education Standards with a strong emphasis on Religious Studies as well. It is operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre.

There are approximately 1700 students spread across four grade levels (9-12.) There are also approximately 113 Lay and Religious Faculty in our school.[2]

98% of Trinity graduates attend colleges and universities.

HTHS graduates receive millions of dollars in scholarships each year.

Caring, professional fully certified teachers give personal attention to each student.

Over 380 computers available to students in networked labs, the library medial center, classrooms, and the Guidance Resource Center; all with Internet access in our fully wired facility.

"Electronic Doorway Library" supporting 27 networked databases, permitting online catalog search, interlibrary loan, and electronic information retrieval available 24 hours/7 days per week.

Individual academic, career, and personal counseling provided by seven full-time Guidance counselors.

Writing instruction - the smart way in networked computer labs.

Guidance Resource Center utilizing the COIN Career Community electronically links students, high schools and colleges for career and financial aid exploration and direct application for college admission.

Comprehensive Visual Arts Program includes fine art, commercial art, computer graphics, CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and architectural design.

- State-of-the-Art PASCO Xplorer GLX technology in science classrooms sets new standards in data tagging and develops higher level thinking skills.

- Honors/Regents science courses meet seven periods per week.

- Accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York.

- Selected by the U. S. Department of Education as one of the outstanding high schools in the nation.

We follow the New York State Regents Schedule. These exams test students on their knowledge in different subject areas. Holy Trinity has Regents exams in the following subject areas:

Holy Trinity also has a wide variety of AP (Advanced Placement) courses available to students who qualify. Holy Trinity offers the following AP Courses:

  • AP Government and Politics
  • AP Biology
  • AP Chemistry (2008-2009 School Yr.)
  • AP Physics B
  • AP Calculus AB
  • AP English Literature
  • AP English Language
  • AP Spanish

These classes require rigorous work and studying in preparation for the national AP exam which is held in early May. Many requirements must be met in order to take an AP class. Averages and ability are major components as to whether or not you get into the program.

Holy Trinity offers College Courses where students can earn college credits from St. Johns University[7]. Holy Trinity Offers the Following College Courses:

  • College Spanish
  • College English
  • College French
  • SJU Art Program
  • College Economics

These are College Level courses therefore the amount of work will be on a "college level." Students taking college courses are expected to maintain certain averages and complete all components of the course.

Holy Trinity boasts one of the best theatre departments in the county. The theatre department is head by Dr. David Overton. Students can take theatre courses as electives. Some courses (not all of them) that Trinity offers are:

In order to be accepted into the Trinity Theatre Program you must audition first. The judges, usually Theatre teachers, then assess as to whether or not you qualify. Although the program limits who is or is not accepted, any student may try out for the seasonal play.
