[edit] History
The school was initially constructed to relieve overcrowding at St. Paul's located a few kilometers to the east. Because of a construction strike, the school was not ready to open on time, and students had to share the building at St. Paul's for the first two months. Student from St Paul's attended classes in the morning, starting an hour earlier than usual and going until noon. Students that would have been attending Holy Trinity attended classes in the afternoon. By the beginning of November 1990, all work on the new school was complete, and students moved in to their new location.
[edit] Sports teams
The name of the various school athletic teams is the Tornadoes. The teams include swimming, soccer, rugby, track and field, lacrosse, basketball, hockey, handball and ultimate frisbee.[citation needed]
The Holy Trinity varsity boys' hockey team has gone to the OFSAA Championships after winning the city title for the past three years. The team accomplished a Bronze Medal in the 2003/2004 season. In 2007 they will be hosting OFSAA at the Bell Sensplex.
The 2000 Junior Boys Soccer team were NCSSAA (City of Ottawa) Champs thanks to an undefeated regular season and playoff run. The highlight of which was a shootout victory against arch-rival St. Pius X in the Western Conference Finals.
The 2007 Varsity Boys Football Team won the City Championship against rival school Immaculata. (Tier 2)
In March of 2007 the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team won the City Championship, and completed a "perfect" season finishing with an undefeated record of 13-0. (tier 2)
